I first stood on a platform to speak 30 years ago…
It was terrifying and taught me to ask a number of questions and recognise a number of truths. Have I explored this subject enough? Is there a sufficiently interesting question to be asked here? Will my hearers be provoked to probe and pry open the subject?
The truths are simple. No comment is wasted, no person is the ultimate authority, and I am loved beyond my words.
Parliament
In 1997 having been invited to address a group of MPs in Portcullis House I grew an interest in the need to speak up for our communities. What might faith have to say? how might the church partner in the journey to reach the margins?
Pulpits
The bible and our shared journey of faith has a wealth of insight and wisdom. Properly contextualised and unfolded well the bible helps us to better grow, move and make a difference. My passion is to explore how best our ancient scripture informs our present script.
People
Over three decades I have enjoyed a ministry immersed in the world of the unnoticed and often unloved. Being part of the brokenness and hopelessness of countless people has brought to my mind a keen sense of what Jesus meant by ‘love your neighbour as your self’.
